Best Seats in the House: George Strait at AT&T Stadium

Best Seats in the House: George Strait at AT&T Stadium
George Strait Live

With the potential to cram in 100,000 people at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, the Cowboy himself, George Strait is set to ride off into the sunset (for good this time…maybe) on June 7, 2014. To say the country superstar is going out with a bang would be putting it lightly. He’s assembled the Avengers of country artists to join him, a dozen to be exact, everyone from Sheryl Crow and Faith Hill to Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney.

Considering AT&T’s capacity, the fact it’s Strait‘s last show ever, and his star-studded lineup, tickets to his Dallas show are looking to be the most actively resold in the history of secondary ticketing. If you’re not one of the lucky George Strait fans to score tickets to this once in a lifetime event when they go on sale December 2nd, you may have a hard time navigating the possible 30,000 listings. Your savior? See below.

George Strait AT&T Stadium Seating Chart (Dallas Cowboys Stadium)

With AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys Stadium) fit to serve as Noah’s Arc should we need it, it’s safe to say finding the ideal view of the stage amongst the sea of 10 gallon hats, is going to be tough. Especially since George Strait will be playing the first ever in-the-round stage setup at Cowboys Stadium. So let us simplify it for you.

George Strait AT&T Stadium Seating Chart

George Strait AT&T Stadium Floor Seats

If you’re looking to sit on the field at AT&T for George Strait’s farewell, you will want to adhere to 7 sections. The first several rows of Floor B, Floor D, Floor F, Floor H, Floor K, Floor M, and Floor P are a guaranteed great view of Strait’s circular stage. Floor A and Floor Q can also be great seating, only if you score the first row. Otherwise you’re at an odd angle and with seats flat on the floor might have difficultly seeing the stage. Especially if you’re stuck behind a shot-blocker. Considering the probable cost of George Strait field tickets for his final performance, and the fact the front row tickets & most of the seats in the first five rows are reserved for the Troubadour & Ace In The Hole VIP packages, we rate this seating group a C.

George Strait AT&T Stadium Lower Level Seats (100 level, 200 level)

With their elevation over floor seating, the lower level sections may be your best bet. If you’re in the endzone, look for section 148 or 149, and 122 or 123, with centered seats. Even better if you can get into Club Hall of Fame sections C135, C136 or C110, C111. As with any show thats performed in the round, the lower bowl tends to have the best sightlines. This holds true for even the corner & endzone 200 levels which come with lesser sticker shock. Considering the opening acts, special performances, and all around craziness that will happen at this show, George Strait lower level tickets are the best bang for the buck at AT&T. We rate this seating group an A.

George Strait AT&T Stadium Club Seats (200 Level, 300 Level)

There are 15,000 club seats at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Club seats potentially grant ticket holders access to the 10 clubs in the Stadium, all of which have special concessions, merch, and full-service bars. We discussed the 100 section club seats above, but what about George Strait Cowboys Stadium club seats in the 200 & 300 levels? The air gets a little thin as you get into the higher rows in the 300s, but if you’ve scored tickets in sections C234, C235, C236, C211, C210, C209, or in the first five rows of C311, C310, C335, or C336 consider yourself golden, Ponyboy. For the price, views, and amenities of the club level for George Strait, we rate this seating group a B+.

George Strait AT&T Stadium Mezzanine Seats (300 Level Corner)

Can’t swing floor or lower level tickets? You can say adios to George from the mezzanine level. These are going to push you out into the corners, and up into the higher second half of the building. Better than the 400 level, but not as cheap, the 300 level is probably that grey area you want to avoid. You’re better off shelling out a little extra for endzone 200 levels, or saving up a bit for beer & food with the cost benefit of the upper deck. Considering probably pricing and availability, we rate this seating group a D.

George Strait AT&T Stadium Upper Deck Seats (400 Level)

Ya, we get it, you’ll get some nosebleeds and probably will need binoculars to see, but these get-in tickets might be the only path of entry for many people for this monumental event. Many claim that the truest fans sit in the upper concourse at Dallas Cowyboys Stadium, and quite frankly, who are we to argue? Ideally if you’re going to sit in the 400 level for George Strait’s last concert ever, you’re going to try and do so from the center areas: Sections 441, 442, 443, 444, 414, 413, 412, 411. Theres no shame in going with cheap George Strait AT&T Stadium tickets, and if you’re on a super hardcore budget, grab the very worst seats in the house: Sections 431, 424, 401, 454. Go ahead and witness George Strait’s retirement concert on a budget, we rate this seating group a B+.

George Strait’s Last Concert Ever???

Or not. George has already said he will continue to perform here and there and will continue to record music. However, this is undoubtable the final concert on George Straits Farewell tour schedule. Its a once-in-a-lifetime event, and if you buy tickets to George Strait’s Dallas concert on the Cowboy Rides Away tour, you can always say, “I. Was. There.” That is, unless he adds a 2nd night…
