Founded in 1924, the Boston Bruins are a professional ice hockey team out of Boston, Massachusetts. The B's are one of the NHL's Original Six franchises which also includes the Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, and Chicago Blackhawks. The Bruins have won six Stanley Cup Championships, the fourth most of all-time, with two coming back-to-back in 1970 & 1972 under the play of Hall of Famers Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, and Gerry Cheevers. While the Big Bad Bruins struggled throughout much of the late nineties, Boston saw it's beloved B's return to glory as contenders for the cup, bringing home Lord Stanley in 2011 after defeating the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7. 2013 looks to be another exciting year as the Boston Bruins attempt to add another championship with Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, and Tuukka Rask at the helm.
